How to Replace an audi key shell G28 Engine Speed Sensor

1. Engine Speed Sensor

If this sensor fails the ECU will show an error code P00160 which indicates that the Crank Shaft and Intake Camshaft are not in sync and could indicate chain stretch or a jumped link on the upper timing chain. The code will not appear without the additional information supplied by other sensors (G4 or G40).
It's a bit tricky to test since there are several pins on the connector, and each has its own functions. The best method for doing this is to measure the resistance between the ECU and the sensor. It should read around 1000 ohms when the sensor is operating at its maximum. Check for evidence of coolant or oil in the connector bay if you have problems with this part.
2. Injectors
Yesterday, while accelerating from the highway paytoll at full speed, i noticed a huge drop in power. It was like the engine had run out of gas. Or my injectors weren't firing. I took out the spark plugs this morning, three were soaked with gasoline and the 4th was dry. I put tissue over each injector hole and when i turn the engine on without sparks, the ones with gazoline jump out. The fourth one remains shut. I checked the ground connection of ECU pins 14,30, and 48/55. I got 0ohm. I assume that the problem is in another location.
I also tried to reset the PID without success. The car is able to start when the G28 is not plugged in and runs fine when it is connected however it is experiencing intermittent misfires at higher RPM. The coolant sensor (G62), even when it is unplugged, shows a temperature of -49c. I also noticed that the oil gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bars when the actual pressure is zero.
I'm not sure what to do. I believe that I've eliminated everything else. But i'm worried that I may have missed something. Let me know If you have any suggestions! TIA!

The fuel pump in the g28 is activated by a signal by the RPM sensor. The GM-style transmitter is similar to the G4 sender, and both operate on the 80,100,200, UrS, and RS2 vehicles.
